The Sic Transit Fundo is a self supported, un-timed and non-competitive ride through the dirt roads and bike paths of Washtenaw County. And it’s free! Go fast or go slow, it really does not matter as long as you are having fun.

We bookend the summer with these events and look forward to them every year to reconnect with the roads and the people in the community.
There is a 25 & 53 mile route to choose, both will take you from our shop onto the dirt roads north of town and allow you to explore some of the best riding in South East Michigan. Both routes end at the Lowertown Bar & Cafe for some social libations where we can dream of the season ahead or reminisce on a great summer of riding behind us, celebrating the fall/winter cycling season to come.

The 2026 Spring Fundo is on Sunday March 29th.

Registration will open soon

SIc Transit Ride With GPS Profile

The Fundo is a self supported, un-timed and non-competitive ride through the paved & dirt roads of Washtenaw County. Go fast or go slow, it really does not matter as long as you are having fun. This is a mass start event, but expect the group to split up along the way.

Smaller groups of riders will form during the ride based on speed, fitness and conversation. Make new friends or recruit some old ones if you want to ensure you have company!

This is an unsupported event, so there will be no sag wagon or organized stops along the way. Make sure you have everything you need to complete the ride and navigate yourself back to the start or home.

There are 2 routes to choose from: 25 & 53 miles. All riders are encouraged to review the routes, download it to their phone/GPS device or print out a cue sheet for reference throughout the ride. There will be no route markers so having the route with you if you separate from the group is a good idea.
